Deep-well pumps

Description deep-well pump:
This pump strongly resembles the pedestal sump pump, but the outer diameter of the hydraulic (often multistage) pump parts are confined to small standard diameters matching well diameters. This limits the head for each stage, causing the pump to generally have multiple stages. The long pump shaft is supported by plain bearings, which are medium lubricated. Large sump lengths are possible in this way (up to 100m). The deep-well pump is also called vertical axis pump.

The deep-well pump is specially designed to pump water from wells which is too deep to pump with dry mounted pumps. It is mostly driven by a electric motor but also by diesel drive motors by means of a right angle gearbox.
