Active in the field
2022
In 2022, the field sales team was launched. IB-Pompen began visiting end-users, OEMs and engineering firms in person. The company had grown from a one-man business into a fully-fledged, independent pump distributor offering technical expertise, personal contact and extensive market coverage.
A new name, the same roots
2017
A year later, in 2017, this fresh start became visible to the outside world. The company adopted the trading name IB-Pompen and unveiled a new logo. At the same time, Edu decided to further expand the office staff: more capacity, better support, and a stronger operational foundation.
Passing on the baton
2016
2016 marked a new phase: Edu officially took over the business from Jan Beumer. This was a logical step, following years of collaboration, and a testament to the continuity that characterises the company.
New generation
2008
In 2008, his son Edu Beumer joined the company after completing his training. He strengthened the team with fresh knowledge and a new lease of energy. Father and son worked together to further expand the client network and the technical portfolio.
Foundation
1994
Intermediair (Jan) Beumer was founded in the early 1990s by Jan Beumer. Immediately after completing his degree in mechanical engineering, he entered the pump industry. Having gained the necessary technical and commercial work experience at a number of pump companies, he decided in 1994 to set up his own business because his work philosophy did not align with what his brand-specific employers expected of him.
