Solids handling

When liquids contain solids, a reliable pump is essential. Solids handling refers to the extent to which a pump is capable of pumping solids, fibers, and other contaminants without any problems.

Optimal solids handling prevents clogs and ensures reliable operation when handling liquids containing solids, fibers, and other contaminants.

Less clogging. Less downtime. Greater operational reliability.

This can be achieved by allowing solids to pass through the pump without necessarily reducing their size, or by first reducing the size of solids and fibrous materials using a cutting or shredding mechanism, so that the liquid can then be pumped smoothly. We specialize in both!

Our solutions for Solids Handling

Free passage impeller

Vortex, screw-channel, open-channel and closed-channel impellers

It is important to select the correct type of impeller.

The vortex impeller allows for the largest free passage.

Cutting pumps/impellers

Grinders/choppers/cutters

We determine the cutting method based on the type of solid particles.
