Düchting Pumpen is a German family business based in Witten, founded in 1938 and now in its third generation. The company specialises in single-stage and multistage centrifugal pumps for demanding applications in seawater desalination, flue gas desulphurisation, mining, the chemical industry and sand and gravel extraction.
What sets Düchting apart is customisation as standard. Every pump is tailored to the specific requirements of the customer and the application. To achieve this, Düchting developed its own wear-resistant mineral cast material based on silicon carbide, known as SICcast, which offers exceptional resistance to wear and corrosion.
SICcast consists of silicon carbide particles bonded with epoxy resin. For highly corrosive and abrasive applications, the material is an alternative to expensive metal alloys, ceramics and wear-resistant plastics. For its production and processing, Düchting founded a separate company in 1996: SICcast Mineralguß GmbH.
Düchting has a worldwide network of partners and its own branches in North America, South America, Russia, South Africa, Australia and Kazakhstan.
