For an offshore application, IB-Pompen supplied two Faggiolati submersible pumps of type B416R6V1-P80HM2. At sea, only one thing counts: reliability in an aggressive environment. That is why a marine bronze version was chosen, with a vortex impeller and an energy-efficient IE3 motor.
Due to its high salt content, seawater is highly corrosive. At an offshore location, maintenance and replacement are also difficult to plan. A pump for this environment must therefore:
✓ withstand seawater
✓ operate reliably in an aggressive environment
✓ require as little maintenance as possible
IB-Pompen selected two industrial submersible pumps from Faggiolati, fully suited to the maritime environment.
Marine bronze: marine bronze offers good corrosion resistance in maritime environments, making it ideally suited to applications where contact with seawater plays an important role.
Vortex impeller: the impeller is recessed in the pump casing, so most of the liquid passes through the pump without direct contact with the impeller. Solids and fibres can therefore pass through unobstructed, with a free passage of 80 mm.
IE3 motor: an energy-efficient motor of 23 kW at 1441 rpm.
Built for harsh conditions: Faggiolati develops submersible pumps for harsh industrial conditions.
Choice of materials: hydraulics in cast iron, AISI 316 stainless steel and marine bronze B10, on request in duplex, super duplex or Hastelloy.
ATEX: versions suitable for ATEX zone 1 and 2.
