Lamella pumps JS Proputec

The JS lamella pump is the original lamella pump, developed by JS Proputec A/S in Denmark. The pump is specifically designed for handling high-viscosity liquids and semi-solid materials, and is recognised worldwide for its high quality and exceptional durability, even in the toughest environments.

The unique design of the JS lamella pump makes it possible to convey large and tough particles such as bones, tissue and fat over long distances in a closed pipe system. This reduces hygiene issues and odours. The JS lamella pump therefore replaces other systems such as screw conveyors, progressive cavity pumps, pressure tanks and conveyor belts, at lower energy and maintenance costs and with a higher capacity.

The pump is available in various versions:

The rotor turns eccentrically in the pump casing. Two lamellas (vanes) are fitted in the rotor, creating four large pumping chambers. The lamellas are guided by cam discs in the pump casing. As the rotor turns, the chambers grow on the suction side and shrink on the discharge side, moving the product from suction to discharge.
