Design
The FVT is a vertically suspended pump with diffuser, available in a single-stage or multistage design. The pump is available with or without a removable inner assembly (pull-out design). The shaft and pump bearings can be supplied with various types of lubrication. The FVT is used for applications such as irrigation, water supply, flood protection, circulating water and fire fighting.

Installation
The pump is suitable for wet or dry pit installation. The discharge outlet can be supplied above or below base plate level, or in a two-floor arrangement.

Hydraulics and materials
The pump is available with radial, mixed flow or axial impellers and in a wide range of materials to suit the application.

Testing and engineering
FPX has a test loop for horizontal and vertical pumps up to 1,500 kW. Customers can witness performance tests for pumps up to 1 MW. For pumps above 1,500 kW, FPX supports performance with model studies and CFD analyses, and the pumps are tested on site. FPX also provides CFD studies for pump sump design, physical model studies, vibration analyses and water hammer analyses.
