Arial-Jet (AJ) is a self-priming aerator that uses the Venturi effect to inject air into the wastewater via a radial diffuser. The submerged aeration unit, which draws in air at atmospheric pressure through a special tube, forces this air in the form of fine bubbles under pressure into the sewage/wastewater via a radial diffuser.

The Arial-Jet is designed for square, round or polygonal tanks, where it operates over a wide surface area without creating dead zones prone to sedimentation problems. Installation is straightforward and requires no specific modifications or civil engineering work on existing structures. The Arial-Jet sits freely on the tank floor and does not need to be secured. In large tanks containing wastewater with a low biological load, the Arial-Jet can easily be combined with Faggiolati mixers to achieve greater efficiency.

Applications

The Arial-Jet is used in wastewater treatment plants for homogenisation and equalisation, pre-aeration, biological oxidation, nitrification, sludge stabilisation and post-aeration. It is also suitable for the flotation of fats, oils and solids, and for neutralisation.

Working principle

Arial-Jet (AJ) is a self-priming aerator that injects air into the wastewater through a radial diffuser by means of the Venturi effect. The submerged aeration unit draws in air at atmospheric pressure through a special pipe and forces it under pressure into the wastewater as fine bubbles through a radial diffuser.

The radial impeller is specially designed for double suction. The upper inlet is in direct contact with the liquid, while the lower inlet is connected to the air intake hose by a Teflon sealing system. Pumping the liquid creates a stable vacuum, causing the air drawn in to be forcefully mixed with the liquid and broken up into fine bubbles.
