The Pioneer GT series consists of self-priming pumps designed for the reliable handling of clean liquids and liquids containing solids up to 76 mm. After the initial priming, the pumps continue to re-prime automatically without an external vacuum system.

The GT series pumps feature a larger shaft construction, a heavy-duty bearing frame and a ductile iron construction, which increases durability and allows higher speeds than the industry standard for self-priming pumps. The unique suction design improves NPSHr and reduces abrasive wear. The special cover combines the priming port and the non-return valve in a single unit for ease of use.

Working principle

Operating principle of the recirculation pump

The front chamber (suction chamber) is always filled with liquid and the pump inlet is located higher than the impeller, so the pump remains primed at all times. With an empty suction line, the pump draws in air or gas and carries it through the impeller into the second pump chamber. Here the liquid and gas separate. The gas rises and leaves the pump through the discharge flange. The liquid returns to the suction chamber through the recirculation channel.
