Gear pumps GVR

External gear pumps are self-priming rotary positive-displacement pumps suitable for pumping low- to high-viscosity liquids free of solids. The pumps deliver a virtually pulsation-free flow of liquid, with the flow rate being directly proportional to the speed.

BMF/BCF — Monoblock gear pumps
Directly coupled to a motor with an extended shaft; compact and easy to maintain.

MBM — Skid-mounted with motor
Skid-mounted gear pumps driven by a B3 electric motor via a flexible coupling.

MBMC — Skid-mounted with heating jacket
Skid-mounted gear pumps with an integrated heating jacket for fluids that need to be kept at a specific temperature (thermal oil, hot water or steam).

APF — High-pressure gear pumps
Specially designed for applications requiring high pressures.

IF — Low-viscosity fluids
Gear pumps for low-viscosity fluids and chemical products at low flow rates and high pressures.

Two intermeshing gears rotate in opposite directions. One gear is driven directly by the motor and drives the second. On the suction side the teeth move apart, creating a vacuum that draws liquid in and fills the tooth cavities. The liquid is carried in these cavities along the pump casing wall to the discharge side. There the teeth mesh again, forcing the liquid out of the cavities and through the discharge port.

Advantages

Why choose the Gear pumps GVR

Optional ATEX certification
Available in ATEX-certified versions for zones 1 and 2, allowing safe use in potentially explosive atmospheres.
Suitable for high temperatures
GVR gear pumps handle liquids at temperatures up to 200 °C. For media that must be kept at temperature, such as bitumen, paraffin and resin, versions with a heating chamber are available.
Pulsation-free flow
The helical gears deliver a virtually pulsation-free flow and low noise levels. Capacity is directly proportional to the speed, resulting in a stable and even flow.
