The self-priming pump removes all air from the suction line. The pump casing must be filled with water.
A. The rotating impeller creates a vacuum, causing air to be drawn in and mixed with the liquid in the pump casing.
B. The air-liquid mixture is conveyed to the discharge side, where the air is expelled through the discharge connection and the liquid returns to the suction side for reuse.
C. The high suction connection retains sufficient liquid in the pump casing for repeated priming. The non-return valve prevents backflow and shortens the priming time.
