GS series PP

The Pioneer GS series is a wet self-priming centrifugal pump, designed for the reliable handling of clean to moderately contaminated liquids containing solid particles up to 76 mm. Once initially primed, the pumps remain self-priming automatically through liquid recirculation, without the need for an external vacuum system.

Thanks to their self-priming operation, the pumps are ideally suited to applications where the suction pipe may run dry, may contain gas, or where the pump is installed above the tank bottom.

Principle of operation of the recirculation pump

The front (suction) chamber is always filled with liquid, and the pump’s inlet is positioned higher than the impeller, ensuring that it is always ‘filled’ and remains so. If the suction pipe is empty, the pump will draw in air or gas and convey it via the impeller to the second pump chamber. Here, the liquid and gas separate; the gas rises and leaves the pump via the discharge flange. The liquid returns to the suction chamber through the recirculation channel.

Suitable for ATEX
This Pioneer series is suitable for applications in ATEX zones, and also offers the possibility of replacing submersible pumps in ATEX zones, with the pump installed outside the zone.
Simple maintenance and inspection
Fitted with a removable cover with a handle and jackbolts for easy dismantling. The external, shimless impeller adjustment allows for readjustment without dismantling the rotating unit.
