R series VP

The R series from Victor Pumps consists of internal gear pumps with self-priming operation, suitable for liquids of any viscosity and temperature, including corrosive, abrasive and environmentally hazardous media. The pumps deliver a non-pulsating constant flow, so no vibrations occur in fittings, valves or couplings. Full performance is available in either direction of rotation.

The oversized bearing housing, rotor support and drip tray are integrated into a single casting for a robust and compact construction. The integrated relief valve protects the pump and the system against dangerous overpressure. The idler gear is of robust construction with thick teeth and wide tolerances for abrasive media. The pumps are available in a Bi-Block version or traditionally long-coupled on a base plate.

Catalogue R series VP

A: Two gears generate the flow: the rotor (1) and the idler, the internal gear (2). The rotor drives the internal gear.
B: As the gears rotate, liquid is drawn into the spaces between the gears and moved smoothly to the discharge port, where the divider (3), the crescent, closes off the free space between the two gears.
C: When the gears mesh, the liquid is gradually forced out of the pump. The result is a constant, even flow without pulsations.

Suitable for high temperatures
The R-series is suitable for liquids with temperatures up to 350°C. The pumps are available with a heating jacket and 90° or 180° connections for applications where the medium needs to be kept at a specific temperature.
Reversible in the direction of rotation
Thanks to their clever design, these pumps are reversible, making it easy to reverse the direction of the fluid flow. This offers additional flexibility across a wide range of applications.
Choice of shaft seal
Available with packing, mechanical seal, cartridge seal or quench. For hazardous media, a sealless version with magnetic coupling is available, eliminating the risk of leakage.
