RB series Viesse Pompe

Viesse manufactures pumps under the ROBUSTA brand for the industrial market.

The pump casing is separate from the spiral casing, which now serves solely as a shield for the impeller, whilst the pump casing itself merely forms the outer shell for both components. In short, the concept behind the ROBUSTA consists of a volute within the pump casing that acts as armour to protect the impeller, and which is also fully interchangeable. The volute has no built-in screws and is therefore easy to replace when the pump is worn out.

The protective layer is extremely hard and wear-resistant – its wear resistance is ensured by the use of specific materials – making the pump ideal for continuous use, even with muddy or sandy water, etc.

Advantages

Why choose the RB series Viesse Pompe

Highly wear-resistant
The open impeller with three blades and the heavy-wall construction of the pump body and blades provide large free passages for solids, making the pumps particularly suitable for handling slurry and liquids with abrasive suspended solids.
Patented hydraulic system
This Viesse pump uses the patented ROBUSTA Hydraulic System (RHS). The armoured internal volute protects the impeller and is fitted without screws, making it easy to replace when worn.
Fast self-priming
The RB-series pumps are self-priming thanks to the special spiral casing design, which enables priming without continuous filling of the pipework and without a foot valve. The priming process takes place automatically whenever air is present in the suction line.
